Summary

Jude intended to write about the salvation believers share, but felt compelled instead to urge them to contend for the faith. False teachers had slipped into the church, turning God's grace into a license for immorality.

Using examples from Israel's history, Jude warns of God's judgment on such people. He urges believers to build themselves up in faith, pray in the Spirit, and show mercy. The letter ends with a beloved doxology to the God "who is able to keep you from stumbling."
