Summary

2 Peter is the apostle's final message. He reminds believers that God's divine power has given them everything they need for life and godliness, and urges them to add to their faith goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness and love.

Peter warns about false teachers who exploit others and deny the Lord's return. He explains that God's apparent delay is patience, "not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance," and calls readers to live holy lives as they wait for the new heavens and new earth.
