Summary

Peter writes to believers scattered across Asia Minor who were suffering for their faith. He reminds them that they have been born again into a living hope through Jesus' resurrection and that their trials refine their faith like gold.

As God's chosen people and royal priesthood, they are to live holy lives among unbelievers, do good, and follow Christ's example in suffering. Peter closes by urging humility and trust: "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
