Summary
Ezekiel was a priest taken to Babylon in the first wave of exiles. He receives dramatic visions of God's glory and acts out symbolic messages warning that Jerusalem will fall because of its idolatry.
After the city's destruction his message turns to hope: God will gather his people, give them a new heart and a new spirit, breathe life into dry bones, and dwell among them again. The book ends with a vision of a renewed temple and a city named "The Lord is there."
